Condolences
Kim was such an amazing friend and stabilizer when our lives were hectic with very young kiddos. We were grateful to have such a caring and welcoming neighbour - each week we would get together with our littles often she warmed us with a delicious soulful chicken noodle soup. She readily took a kid or two when we were stretched for resources, always sharing fun little details of their visit. We were so sad when the family moved around the bend, it coincided with our kids lives getting intensely busy, but when we saw each other out in community it was like no time had passed. She always had a hug to give, some fun stories and made you feel like you were supported and doing ok. Our hearts go out to Gaetan, Miley and Kohen…family was her everything - she inspired me to be a better mom and wife. What an honour to have had time with Kim, learn from her, laugh with her and feel her love.
Dear Gaetan & family, our deepest & most heartfelt sympathies. Sending y'all long hugs. Thinking of you. You took such good care of her & made precious & priceless memories for the children. Take care, your friends Rob & Stella xo
As life carried on through the years, my relationship with Kim grew from “my friends wife” into someone whose personality, conversation and company I came to enjoy and appreciated. Through family trips and time spent together, lots of laughs were had and great memories were formed that I won’t forget. As I won’t her words… this past summer, while sitting around a campfire at the lake, Kim said to me “Every minute counts”. They do. I will miss her and remember her smile.
What a beautiful tribute to Kim. Wow, am I going to miss her. She was my number one go-to when I needed a voice of reason and my absolute favourite brunch date. I loved our opportunities to connect over tea, a cocktail or chocolate. I have so many amazing memories of our friendship from when the girls were babies, birthday parties, her bachelorette, seeing her in her wedding dress before she got married, walks in Fish Creek, family vacations together and so much more.
Over the last few years we talked so much about her love for you Gaetan, Myley and Kohen, you filled her heart with so much joy, there was nothing she loved more than being your mom. I hope you find peace in knowing how much she loved her family and knowing how much she was loved by those around her and the lasting impact she created on their lives.
I knew Kim was a keeper for Gaetan. We were doing dishes at a family meal. When I started dishes, Kim walked in and started to help. I looked at Gaetan and said, she's a keeper. This was one of many, but the beginning of them all. You will truly be missed.
