Obituary of Helen Louise Parkinson
June 14, 1981 – Calgary, Alberta
October 7, 2023 – Beiseker, Alberta
Helen Louise Parkinson, of Calgary, AB and Beiseker, AB passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the age of 42 years.
Helen was born in Calgary, AB on June 14, 1981. She was a proud instructor for the Canadian Red Cross Society. She was truly selfless—there was not a person that she wouldn’t help without hesitation—she saw things in people that others couldn’t. No matter what she was doing or working at, she gave it her all—her parents would describe her as a dog with a bone. Helen was a compassionate person who loved all animals, especially her Alectra and Rosie. She liked to spend time outdoors and in the mountains. Helen became settled and content in her chosen rural life. She laughed loudly at a good joke (or a bad one) and always looked forward to a Harry Potter marathon.
Besides her loving parents, Jerry and Cheyne, Helen is survived by her brother Troy Parkinson, her husband Bill Fitzgerald, and his daughter Dakota. Helen is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Helen’s Life will be at Christ Church, Elbow Park (3602 8 St SW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
