Condolences
I was one of the first nurses to work with Dr.Wong and Dr.Alex Chan when they arrived in Calgary. We worked together for 14 years when my husband was transferred to Edmonton.I have so many great memories .
I want to express my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Dr.Wong.I was Primary Nurse in the Outpatient Department responsible for the Gastrointestinal Clinic during 1980’s and worked every week with Dr.Wong.He was an amazing oncologist ..so kind and caring for any patient under his care.He was so thoughtful and gave so much to his profession. He valued input and often asked for an opinion .I am so sorry for this tremendous loss.
I was very sad to hear of Dr Wong's passing. I had the privilege of working with him at Tom Baker Cancer Centre for several years back in the 1980's-1990's. Maureen Cava and I were his primary nurses in the Daycare Unit. (Outpatient Chemotherapy)
Dr Wong was a kind, caring man and a bright and supportive physician and educator. My sincere condolences to his wife and family.
I was very saddened to here about Dr. Wong's passing. I worked with Alfred at the TBCC for about 10 years in the late 70s and into the 80s. I was one of the nurses that helped him develop the ambulatory pump for patients with bowel cancer. Our working relationship was always professional, and Alfred would always listen to the ideas and concerns that I had about patients even though he might not have always agreed. It was a real pleasure to work along side him and his quiet manner. Please accept my sincere sympathy.
Maureen Cava
