Howard was such a great guy. Amazingly talented but so unassuming. He made me two lovely little side tables, which I prize. Along with memories of his Christmas-time handmade chocolates. His life counted. Another prairie gem, tireless builder, and solid Canadian.

Howie played in our Calgary Senior Slow Pitch softball league for 27 years. His last year played was in 2017 at the amazing age of 95. I proudlly played with Howie during his last 17 years in our league. He was one of the most well liked and highly respected players in our league and he was sadly missed when he retired.

I played baseball with Howard for about 15 years.......He was certainly the nicest person you will ever meet......always had a kind word.....and a good ball player.........hit it where they aint was his motto......
