I miss Gwen. Gwen was a table mate with my mother at Age Care Midnapore. My mother has significant loss of hearing and Gwen would always hep out by letting my mother know when I was waving goodbye at the window of the dining room. Gwen was very alert and had a great sense of humour. And yes, "a twinkle in her eye"!

Often I would see her in the hall watching the TV by the nurse's station and I made a point of always greeting her as I came in and left. Gwen was someone I always looked forward to greeting. We didn't know much about each other, but, her absence makes the Chappral neighbourhood different.

I miss Gwen and am grateful to have known her just that little bit
