My sincere condolence to Jo-Anne and Keri. Nothing made Garner smile more than talking about his family. I hunted & fished with Garner for many years. Godspeed.

While he was closest to my older brother I had the opportunity to spend many days with Garner. I found him to be extremely funny and entertaining man to be around. His infectious laugh and mischievous ideas always made him fun to be around. I am so glad I was always on his side because the alternative could be hazardous . RIP buddy

Our deepest condolences to the family.
Garner was my best friend all through my early years working for Canadian Western. We were often in trouble for the fun we had. (Boys will be boys) Although we went our separate ways later in life, I will treasure the memories of our misguided youth. My deepest condolences go to Joanne, Kerry, family and friends.
Our most sincere condolences. So sorry to hear of your family's loss.

Sincere condolences to Jo-Ann and Keri on the passing of their beloved Garner. Garner had an infinite love for his family and friends and his loss will be felt by all who had the privilege to know him. Hadn't run into him for quite a while, but whenever I did, we picked up right where we left off. I have many, many fond memories of being at the home he shared with Jo before their precious Keri came along and then for a few years after she was born. The one thing that stands out to me most, besides his love of family and friends, is his laugh. His laugh and sense of humor the best! Jo and Keri, as you go forward now without him, wrap yourself in the warm memories of the man who touched many lives. Memories are treasures to hold on to and I will always treasure the memories we shared long ago. Thinking of you both and sending much love your way.

At the time I was too new to realize it, but in hindsight, I'd say I was lucky to have worked under GJ in MOC Service back in the early years of my career at the Gas co. He ran a tight ship that held everyone in his team accountable. He had a special way of ensuring peak performance from all of his guys. This showed in our numbers at the end each year. He was organized, methodical and took no guff. Good or not so good, You knew where you stood with him because he told you directly. That seems to be a lost art these days. Through all of the changes in my 21 years here I have often thought of Garner and other mentors from those days and wondered what their take would be on the new ways. He has been missed at the office and sadly now will be missed by many. Very sorry to hear about your loss. Good memories of a good fella.

Please accept my condolences.
As Men, working together, we cursed we fought and we shared about you, his love in life. I understood, and his times of joy were memorable.
God bless you brother.
Jo Ann I'm so very sorry to be reading of your husband Garner's passing ...Please accept my sincerest condolences, & sympathies....May he rest in eternal peace away from this trials & tribulations....This to Shall Pass...Praying for you & Kerri.....Sincerely, Barbara F. Richards
Very sorry to learn of Garner's "The Gasman" passing. I got to know him since he was a teenager through my friendship with his parents Ross & Bev Jacobs. He had a great sense of humour & we would often joke & laugh at hearing his hunting & fishing tales. He loved the outdoor adventure life & I often told him he was born in the wrong century as he had that adventurous pioneer spirit. He certainly got his money's worth in this life & his spirit will live on, that I'm sure. Rest in peace buddy.

The Jacob’s Family: Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone at this very sad time. So many good memories when Garner spent a few summers at the Condie Farm in Bainsville, Ontario, where he was surrounded by many cousins.
Sincere Sympathy
