Obituary of Glenn Peter St.Arnaud
February 23, 1954 – Granby, Quebec
November 19, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta
Glenn St.Arnaud, beloved husband of Joyce Irene St.Arnaud (nee Savard) of Airdrie, AB, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the age of 69 years.
Glenn was born in Granby, QC, on February 23, 1954. He attended Macdonald-Cartier High School and was employed with the Canadian Pacific Railway (CP Rail) Police for 35 years.
Glenn was passionate about helping others and always enjoyed volunteering with CP Rail even after retirement. He had many hobbies and activities such as coin collecting, shoulder flash collecting, and pin collecting. He also enjoyed spending time playing with his grandchildren and cheering them in all activities they participated in. Glenn always enjoyed vacationing on the East coast, eating the fresh seafood, visiting the many landmarks, and spending time near or on the Ocean.
Glenn will be most remembered for his family first values, his fighting spirit and facing his death with bravery, kindness, and peace.
"A father is the one friend upon whom we can always rely. In the hour of need, when all else fails, we remember him upon whose knees we sat when children."
He is survived by his wife Joyce St.Arnaud, two sons Jay St.Arnaud, and Zachary St.Arnaud; two daughters Julie Costa, and Shelley St.Arnaud; five grandchildren Allie Costa, Devin Costa, Randy Andrews, Damien St.Arnaud, and Erica St.Arnaud; two great-grandchildren Amelia Christianson-Joy, and Lilly Christianson-Joy; two brothers Garth St.Arnaud, and Gary St.Arnaud; two sisters Dale St.Arnaud, and Tara St.Arnaud; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Glenn was predeceased by his mother Florence St.Arnaud and father Georges St.Arnaud.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Kingdom City (1604 Summerfield Blvd SE, Airdrie, AB) starting at 1:00 p.m. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Glenn’s family here.
