Condolences
Hi Andy, I just wanted to remember Marilyn. She was such a beautiful, Godly lady. I loved her gentle manner and her willingness to help anyone who needed it. I went to church with her and served at the Mustard Seed with her and our church, SCCF, about 25 or more years ago. She started me and I still serve at the Mustard Seed. In years past, I visited with her and Manisha many times and now I have reconnected with Manisha after many years. All of this was started by Marilyn. Marilyn has really been a strong, gentle, loving presence around me and other people she knew. I'm so happy for her now....she is out of pain and freely walking with our Saviour Jesus. However, I'm so sorry that you will miss your companion of many years, Andy. Love and Blessings from Judy and Dave Saskiw
Sending Love to Marilyn's family. I have so many memories over the past 25+ years of friendship with Marilyn. We had 3 hour Lunches out, with talks of art, crafting, family, travels, faith and our various volunteer activities. Sharing time at Art Shows was so much fun. The Annual weekend sale at Marg's house with multiple crafters was always a great time. My most special memory was when Marilyn and I took a road trip from Calgary to Salt Spring Island. We loaded up my van with Marilyn's scooter and a ramp and off we went. There were many Photo ops along the way (we both liked to photograph) and on Salt Spring Island, a reunion with her newly found brother. Marilyn was so excited for this reunion. Picking blackberries and getting caught in the brambles was such a cause for laughter and Marilyn wanted to bring home a blackberry plant to discover if it would grow in Calgary weather. I'm not sure what happened to that plant. In more recent years, with Covid happening, we still managed a phone call or two ...a birthday or Christmas greeting were always special. I miss Marilyn's sense of humour, her generous nature and her creative spirit. Elaine Haggith
