Obituary of Kristy Cheryl Crow Spreads His Wings

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our sister, Kristy Cheryl Crow Spreads His Wings, who now joins our parents and brother in Heaven. Kristy passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on November 23, 2023, in Lethbridge, AB, at the age of 45.

Kristy was a beloved sister, aunty, niece, cousin, grandma, granddaughter, and best friend. She grew up on the Blood reserve where she was raised the traditional Blackfoot way. Kristy attended F.P. Walshe, Fort Macleod where she graduated High School from. She then continued to Bow Valley College, in Calgary, where she was enrolled in the Early Childhood Diploma program. Kristy loved children, especially her nieces, nephews, and grandbabies. She had an awesome sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. Kristy will be greatly missed.

Kristy was predeceased by her late parents, Addison Crow Spreads His Wings and Irene Kootenay-Crow; Brother Tytus Crow; Maternal aunties Beryl Kootenay, and Myrna Kootenay; Paternal aunties Delores Crow, Patricia Small Face; Maternal grandparents Douglas Kootenay and Ruth Kootenay; Paternal grandparents Joseph Crow Spreads His Wings and Elaine Small Face.

Kristy is survived by her brother Lionel Crow; sister Janine Crow (DJ); nephews Dakota Crow and Daniel Crow, nieces Taylor Crow (Joey), and Tadum Kootenay. Kristy is also survived by the Kootenay, Crow Spreads His Wings, Twoyoungmen, Crawler, Wildman, Amos, Salter, Dixon, Young, Holloway, Daniels, Simeon, Delenay, First Charger, Williams, Weasel Moccasin, Healy, Wells, Mistaken Chief, Many Bears, Many Fingers, Blackwater, Chief Calls, Calf Robe, Fox, and Scout families.

The Crow family would like to apologize if they have missed anybody.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of Janine Crow Spreads His Wings (Mini Thni, AB) on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Funeral Services will be held at Bearspaw Youth Centre (Mini Thni, AB) on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Bearspaw Cemetery (Mini Thni, AB).  Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed at www.MHFH.com.
