Obituary of Mike Lanoway

February 25, 1947 - Winnipeg, Manitoba

November 23, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

Michael Lanoway, beloved husband of Audrey Lanoway (nee Palmer), of Airdrie, AB, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at the age of 76 years.

He was born in Winnipeg, MB and was the beloved husband of Audrey of 54 years. He was the proud father of Shane of London, England, Travis of Airdrie, AB, and Cory of Calgary, AB. He was also the adoring grandfather of Faith and Ryan, who were the apples of his eye.

Michael started his career in Winnipeg, MB with the Manitoba Telephone system and transferred to Thompson, MB where he changed his career path and started work with Xerox of Canada. He retired from Xerox in 2000 and joined Print Operations Group as a consultant.

He was an avid amateur radio operator, model builder, and enjoyed spending time with his family. His most memorable vacation was taking his family to Disneyland in 1985.

Michael was predeceased by his mother Alma Lanoway, his father Henry Lanoway, as well as his brother Russell Lanoway.

Michael will be most remembered for the love he had for his family.

We would like to thank all his family and friends who reached out to him with their kind words and best wishes through his battle with health issues. As well as the EMS and the staff at the Foothill Medical Centre who gave him such excellent care over the past few months.
