November 27, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta
In loving memory of Joseph Yu Sing Tang, who peacefully passed away in Calgary on November 27, 2023, at the age of 72. Born in China on May 18, 1951, Joseph was a beloved husband, father, and exceptional grandfather.
A proud graduate of the University of Alberta with a degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Joseph dedicated his career to the field, working at Saputo in Edmonton. Upon retiring, he moved to Calgary to be closer to his family.
Joseph will be remembered for his sense of humor and emphasis on the values of health, family, and safety. Despite being a man of few words, he enjoyed fishing, playing, and watching golf. More significantly, Joseph expressed his love through acts of service and providing support.
His deep familial bonds were evident in his actions. Although he
didn't often verbalize it, he had a profound love for his son, Jason. During visits to Calgary, Joseph took care of all practical matters, silently ensuring the well-being of his family. His commitment extended beyond practicalities, offering constant support through significant life milestones.
Despite facing illness, Joseph's love for his granddaughters remained immeasurable, bringing light to his darkest days. The family expresses gratitude for the condolences and support. May Joseph rest in peace. Though physically absent, his spirit will endure in the hearts and memories of all touched by his presence.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Tang, son Jason Tang, daughter-in-law Linh Tang, and granddaughters Kalista Tang and Kiara Tang. Joseph leaves behind a legacy of love, and his memory is cherished by a wide circle of friends, colleagues, and acquaintances.
