Condolences
- Ryan was an encouraging and kind friend, and was a genuinely honest one, he would tell you the truth as he saw and heard it, which was good when you needed feedback on your karaoke performance. He was not afraid of deep conversations of any kind, and he had a gentleness and openess that allowed for deep conversations. Him and I loved talking about our love of music. One time out of the blue he played me one my favorite recordings on a very good sound system. I’d never made a particular point of drilling in that it was one of my favorites and I was stunned how he’d picked that out from one of our many conversations—it was very loving, he listened well.
Ryan was, and remains a very important member of our Cemeteries team. His good humour and intelligent insight were appreciated by all who knew him We worked together on several projects where his video editing skills proved to be simply amazing. We shared an appreciation of artistic photography and I was humbled by his ability to take things to the next level. Thank you Ryan for the lessons you passed on to me. Much appreciated.
Joe Blunden, Cemeteries Superintendent
I will remember Ryan as being friendly, warm and passionate about his work. We had such great conversations! I always looked forward to seeing him when I travelled to Calgary for the KWC nationals event. You have definitely made an imprint on many lives Ryan. May you rest in peace.
