Celebration of life
Condolences
As an exuberant young boy Norm would always call me 'the noise' when I came over to play with Stephen. Norm and Gayle were always very tolerant of our antics and shared their space with us. I decided at one point (in grade 6) Norm needed to stop smoking and we would help. So Stephen and I decorated all his chairs with home drawn no smoking signs and then stole all his cigarettes. I had to explain this to my Mom when Norm came over looking for his stolen smokes. Good thing I remembered where I stashed them. Later Norm let Stephen and I make a lot of projects using his tools and to drive his classic beast cars. (not the nice red skylark!). Lots of good memories from my time over at the Barnecut house. My condolences Gayle, Stephen, and Titia.
John Anger, Calgary.
Dear Gayle & family
Rick and I are so saddened to hear of Norms death. He has been a fixture on our shared back sidewalks and at the park for so many years. It was just a short time ago you were sharing thoughts about his upcoming birthday. I will miss seeing him out on his strolls. He seems to have achieved what we all hope for; a long and healthy happy life and a quick peaceful death. We hope you take solace in that and much comfort in your faith.
