Condolences
My deepest condolences to the Reynolds family. I only knew Chris for 2023 however he made an impression on so many so quickly at Safeway. His stories of his time in the Middle East were amazing and you just wanted to keep hearing more.
His love of his 3 children was always 1st with hockey and all his adventures coming second....saw the video of one of the girls birthday parties in the Philippines and he was so proud of his family. Chris also spoke about his son and was hoping to see him more often....we also heard all about his Mom who he visited almost every day and the respect he had for her. I traded Chris my homemade Chili on several occasions for a salt and pepper shakers in the shape of stones which he got off of 1st class on Qatar Airlines he had a couple sets and I have one as a keepsake and will not forget this funny crazy amazing gentleman rest in peace Chis you have impacted so many in your life and will be missed! Your funeral was beautiful hope you saw it from above you were loved!
My deepest condolences to Bill's Family,
Although it's been many years since I last saw Bill, I have many fond memories of him. I knew him in him in his mid-20s and long before he had children. During that time in his life, I remember Bill as having a very witty and dry sense of humour and was always fond of a good laugh and a party, I knew him to be kind and somewhat inpatient with "non-engineers', but he had a quick and comprehensive mind that I much admired.
I don't doubt for a moment that his children would have been the focus of his life and I pray that the good memories you have of your dad bring you comfort in the times ahead.

My sincere condolences to Chris’s family and friends on his passing. I also worked with Cris in his WER Engineering days in the 80’s including his time representing the company in Peace River. He was a “good guy” in all aspects to work and share time with. I too, lost contact with him when he moved overseas but have good memories of our shared working life. So sad that he passed at such a young age. Hopefully the good memories of a life well lived will help his family through these difficult times.
I am so sorry to hear of Chris's passing. Chris and I worked together in his early engineering years. In fact Chris ran our Peace River office at that time. He was a great friend and always a pleasure to be with. He was always smiling and loved to have fun. He loved playing hockey and had a very successful junior hockey career playing for the likes of Ken Hitchcock. I lost touch with Chris and am so sorry that happened. I am deeply saddened to hear of Chris's passing. My condolences to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Chris's passing.
My memories of Chris go back many years to the 1980s, and after. I had the pleasure of working with Chris in the early years of his engineering career, and meeting and getting to know his family and friends. All wonderful people. I have many fond memories of social activities with Chris including parties at his parent's house, in Lethbridge and in Banff. In those days, many years ago, Chris was always fun loving and a joy to be with. As was the entire family. And Chris always had a passion for hockey. More recently I had the pleasure of meeting his two lovely daughters. I think I share the same birthday of May 27 as Chris's mother, but her being just a bit older than me.
I am deeply saddened by Chris's passing. My condolences go out to Chris's family. Ken Kress
I have known and been a friend of Chris Renalds since 1991 when I met him in Dubai. Chistopher was always wecoming to new comers and the first to offer a helping hand to his friends. I was lucky enough to again catch up with hris again when I landed in Doha. He gave me the tour of highlights in Qatar, which at the time only took a handful of hours. I am going to miss him company, as I am sure is something I share with everyone who was lucky enough to know him. Rest in peace Chris.
This is still heart breaking Tatay Sir Chris. Thank you so much for everything. You will always be in our hearts and we will miss you. Heaven is very happy as they are welcoming another Angel. Rest in Paradise now Tatay Chris. Condolence to Reynolds family.
You will be missed Kuya Chris. A fun to be with, ever-caring and kind Kuya to Bechtel Filipino ladies.
We are deeply saddened by the news. Deep condolences ate Portia and the kids.
God's embrace envelops all of you on this tough time.

I met Chris when I was making a career move to Doha, Qatar. He was very helpful offering information about the country and assuring me it was relatively safe, even after a one-off bombing incident at Doha Theatre. When I made the move I spent a lot of time socializing with Chris and Portia. I met him that time he visited Baler in the Philippines. Played some hockey with him occasionally because he was in the A Division, I was not. Lots of great memories. You will be missed but not forgotten.
Really sad to hear about Chrs passing. I met him in the middle 90s in Dubai through a work associate who was part of the hockey playing crowd. I think to a person they all felt there wouldn’t be any hockey had it not been for the efforts of Chris. He was always affable, gregarious, and just generally a good conversationalist, and a fun person to be around. I certainly shared some laughs with him and Portia. My condolences to her and the rest of his family; on a good man gone way too soon. May he rest in peace.
I’ll always remember the good times. In particular, the Calgary stampede 2017 we attended the grandstand show. That was so much fun. You always had the best stories and told the funniest jokes. I’m glad we were able to go out for lunch when I visited last. Rest In Peace uncle Chris
My condolences to Chris's entire family. I had just had breakfast with him in October and had a great visit. I meet Chris in 1978 playing hockey in Sherwood Park. He loved the game and was always sharing stories about his time spent in Dubai and the desert hockey. He will be missed. Rest in peace Chris.
I remember meeting Chris for the first time in Dubai over 30 years ago, in late 1991 when I had just arrived to work there. I had heard that there was hockey in Dubai, at Al Nasr Leisureland, and wanted to get back on the ice. Sure enough, there was a small group of 8 or 9 skaters out, and the one who took a minute to come over and greet me was Chris. He was outgoing, full of energy and wholly welcoming - as he always was. In the following years he spent in Dubai, Chris took it upon himself to organize (and negotiate) for hockey to be accepted...at our rink itself, in Dubai and in the UAE. He was unstoppable!
His foundational efforts inspired the younger UAE Nationals in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to start a recognized National program, which thrives to this day and competes at the IIHF World level. He was instrumental in starting the men's league in Dubai, which accommodates hundreds of players, and is limited only by access to ice time. Same goes for the International hockey tournament every year in April. Chris Reynolds left a legacy of ice in the desert, and improved so many people's life experiences that came after him, many of whom may not be aware of how much time and effort he dedicated to that cause. Chris, you will be sadly missed, my good friend. Blair Look
Sorry to hear about Chris' passing. I knew him from hockey in Qatar and Dubai. Chris was definitely one of the good guys and contributed so much to all of us who played the game in the lands of sand in the Middle East. Always a smile and always ready to help. Rest easy Chris.
