Condolences
I would like to extend condolences to Mr. H. Yasumatsu's wife, family and friends. My first full time employment was as the "office boy" at Bridge and Tank Western in 1963 reporting to Mr. Yasumatsu, the drafting office supervisor. He was a kind, considerate and caring individual with a sense of humour who significantly influenced and helped launch my career. Rest in peace Sam.

Uncle Sam was such a kind and gentle soul and had a great sense of humour. He will be sadly missed.
We are so grateful that we were able to visit with him last fall.
Big hugs to you all!
Love Karen and Real xo
I am so sorry to hear Sam has passed away. A truly nice and very kind man. I have so many memories from when you lived here, and all the good times we had. I still have a sweater that was part of a hockey trip the guys were on. I wish George was here he could spin many stories about Sam. He will be missed by his family. Take care Lorna and will talk soon.

Aunt Lorna, Cindy, Ed, Madison & Keelan,
Our condolences to you all, especially Aunt Lorna as I was very glad that I had a chance this past September to visit Calgary, in person with my daughter, Debi, as we did a road trip there. It gave me a chance to see you and Uncle Hideo in person, as it has been many years since. When we were in Calgary, Uncle Hideo wanted to speak to his sister, Kay (Thunder Bay) so I managed to phone her, as it gave him a chance to speak with her. He didn't say much, but I remember him saying "Kay" as he answered her questions. Uncle Hideo to me, was a loving, pleasant, caring person, going out of his way to help and support you, when needed. I remember when Debi was a teenager, we visited Calgary and Uncle Hideo took a day off work to drive us to Spruce Meadows for a horse show, as Debi was into equestrian and dressage. I also remember Uncle Hideo visiting with my mother in Toronto (his older sister), Nobuko many times prior to her passing in 2013. He will be missed by all, especially Aunt Lorna who was the strong hold of the family, doing everything for him. Our thoughts are with you all during this time of sorrow and grief. Rest in peace, Uncle Hideo as you deserve the rest. Your loving niece, Ruth Matsuda
