Condolences
Ljubica, was a beautiful lady, inside and out. A great older cousin with a good sense of humour, lots of fond memories growing up and seeing her at family gatherings. Many blessings to her family and friends.
Ljubica was a very kind loving person and I’m honoured to have been her friend . We shared the same birthdate I being older. Ljubica Anne and I celebrated the day going to a casino for a fun breakfast. We shared the love of black pepper and would take the lid off the shaker and sprinkle it on our food passing it back and forth. Spring summer and fall the three of us went for long walks calling ourselves the three musketeers l loved you my dear friend and will miss you Ella Strand
Ljubica was my ‘Punica’ (mother-in-law) and she tolerated me ‘forcing’ her to do many things including our family’s journeys that included the majestic Yellowstone, WY, Disneyland/Osoyoos/Adam’s River sockeye salmon run twice each, and Millarville Farmers Market almost every Saturday from June to October each of many years over decades. Many times on these excursions was her ‘partner in crime’ my mother Yvonne Generoux who was close friends with Ljubica….. almost too close when Yvonne would dry her bra/underwear off their Osoyoos hotel room deck’s railing. We obviously had many great times and laughs together, most recently Jennifer and I treating Ljubica to a chilly couple November days in Banff for helping us paint the main floor walls of our house. She took forever to drink her beer and eat her massive chicken sandwich. To save the rest of the evening, I begged her to get a to-go-box for the remaining half sandwich. She’d spend dawn to dusk doing the painting jobs along the ceiling and tough to get spots above our corner fireplace, that Jen and I didn’t want to do. I would give my Punica heck when she touched our off-white paint on our white ceiling stipple, saying she be here for days after doing all the touch-ups. Now Jen and I say all those ceiling marks, ironically mostly of my own doing, will stay there forever. Ljubica, when you weren’t in our adventures, you were tending to our house and pet animals that have included two orange tabby cats to the ‘creature’ of Shrubby the hedgehog. She would bring her own gloves, bucket and cleaning products to our house to clean the hedgehog’s excrement covered exercise wheel each and every day that we were absent. I actually heard her complain for once, about this. Ljubica I was so WOW’d about your homeland during our June 2023 vacation there with Dennis, Nicole, Alexa, Madalyn, Jennifer, Brodie, Brooklyn and I for which I am eternally grateful. I could go on……and on about your impact in my life and family, so I will stop here and just say “I love you and thank you for more than words can say and I’ll see you soon”. Love your son-in-law, Brent.
