Condolences
Rena and I are so sorry to hear about Peter's passing, Peter was a good friend for many years.
When Peter and I graduated in 1972 it was a tough time to find a job, both oil and mineral prices were low. The two of us decided to travel west to see if we could find work travelling in his MGB. We ended up in northern BC for that summer then Peter went off to do mineral exploration. From time to time after that we would meet in Calgary and go skiing at Lake Louise. When Peter's mother was still in Saskatoon he would visit a few times a year, he would take the initiative to call Gary Billingsley, Mel Stauffer and me and we would meet at the Broadway Diner for breakfast, talk about our families, old times and he would be update us on all the 'vintage Ore Ganguers' comings and goings in Calgary. I treasured those times, and I treasured our friendship.
Our sincere condolences to Esme and the rest of Peter's family. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
I'm so sorry to hear about Peter's passing. He was just ahead of me at U of S geology, we became friends here in Calgary through the rock club.
I am thinking of your family and send heartfelt condolences to you all.
Hi Esme,Allister and Sandra
So sorry to hear from Esme of Peters passing . I just talked with him before Xmas and it’s hard to believe he’s not with us anymore. He was a good friend and we had lots of fun together back in the 1970’s at Whistler and later in the 1990’s when he would came out with the family. We didn’t get together too much when you moved to Calgary but we often talked and things never changed. Peter’s enthusiasm and earth will always be with me and those memories will be with me always. Farewell Peter, my dear friend,I’ll see you down the trail.
