Obituary of Jewel Anne Lightfoot
July 1, 1934 – Thunder Bay, Ontario
January 22, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta
Jewel Lightfoot of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, at the age of 89 years.
Jewel was an administrator for the Calgary Board of Education for twenty years. She loved to cook, sew, and spend time with her family. Jewel especially loved to spend time with her granddaughters, whom she was so proud of.
She will be remembered for being a TUB (Tough Ukrainian Broad).
Jewel is survived by her son James William Lightfoot; her three beloved granddaughters, Aliesha Lightfoot, Reilly Lawrence and Mackenzie Lawrence; and her son-in-law Paul Lawrence. She is also survived by her two sisters and brother-in-law, Cathy MacDonald of Thunder Bay, ON and Rosalie and Michael Bonner of Toronto, ON. She was predeceased by her husband Robert John Lightfoot; daughter Patricia Anne Lawrence; and her mother Anne Koroniak.

Memorial Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
