Condolences
Thank you Ambrose for your time, laughters and memories we made together. You were an exceptional man!
I met Ambrose during my family visit in Cairns in August 2022. We both had a great time together, we went diving and had long long nights. I am going to come back this year to Cairns and we wanted to meet again. I also invited him to come to Germany and visit me.
I wish you the family back home in Canada all the best and I can tell you he left wonderful memories behind I am so grateful for, Much love from Germany,
Sebastian Koschmieder
To the dear family of Ambrose, I thank a former student of mine, Nate Hudson for sharing the obituary and his special words of a dear friend. As I read the beautiful tribute you, his parents, siblings and all that Ambrose stood for and believed, he was one incredibly special young man. Please know that your son was who he was because of each of you and the loving God he served and believed in. The pain of say farewell for a short time is heart wrenching, but God welcomed Ambrose into his kingdom and for that we believers can all be blessed! I send you all so much love and deep prayers now and in the coming days as you embrace this new walk in your own faith. Continue to keep his legacy alive by sharing all of his joys, wonders and revelations with those you meet. From one “risk taker” to another, Ambrose, you have left a tremendous mark on this world by having lived, loved and laughed BIG throughout your 33 years. Blessings Susan (Nate’s former teacher in Nova Scotia) xo
We went off roading in waiparous one time and got both of our trucks stuck. Sun going down, it's getting cold, no cell reception, nobody around for miles. I'm scared for my life and he smiles and looks at me saying, "isn't this awesome?!?".
Standing in the hall outside band class. I'm having a bad day and this little weirdo who I've never talked to before comes up and asks, "hey man, is everything okay?" He always checked on people, even strangers.
5 years and many parties later we went for lunch. I asked him if he wanted to go swimming after. He looked at me smiling and said, " I can't swim but hell ya, let's go!!." He was always down for anything.
Some years and more drunken memories later. I called him randomly to see how he was doing. He told me, "I'm moving to Australia for work. I leave next week." I told him we were gonna spend the day together Saturday as a send off. He said, "absolutely!!!" We went shooting, smoked cigars, drank good whiskey, went to rec room, went axe throwing, and ended the night drinking whiskey and eating smoked meat at a restaurant. I didnt have much money at the time, yet he drove and paid for pretty much everything. On a day that was meant for him. He was generous that way.
Losing him is heartbreaking. Not only to me but to everyone he came in contact with. But im grateful to have those experiences with him. And I'm truly privileged to be able to call him my friend. Now he gets to go on the ultimate adventure. Love you Ambrose. Heaven is just the start for you but we all know you'll continue to soar higher.
Ambrose.
You gorgeous, charismatic, intelligent & funny Canadian.
Forever 33, forever an adventurer.
Perth would have loved you a very long time.
Rest in peace.
Ambrose was so spontaneous and intelligent.
We went to an Egyptian exhibition and he told me more facts than the museum itself about ancient Egypt. He was so charismatic and so fun. It was definitely a favourite day of mine. I miss him so much and I’ll miss our talks about history and religion.
Ambrose was a good workmate friendly and a person you can rely we were working in same company SCHLAM ENGINEERING as an HEAVY DIESEL FITTER such a great loss to a family and a friend REST IN PEACE bro
Ambrose was such a character and easily approachable person. We would always look forward to seeing him when he would fly back in from work or his time off. He would tell us all about his trips away and always made us feel part of the story. He will be sorely missed and almost like something is missing from our day to day lives here. I'm sure your family will miss you even more.
We will miss you Ambrose, I hope you tell us abit about your new adventures when its our time to head over to the other side.
My dearest sympathies to the loving family.
Ben
