Condolences
I went through school in Bellevue with Doug, and I followed his business career in Calgary over the years. I was impressed with the way he took charge of his life and became a real success story. My sincere respect and offer my condolences to Carole and his family. And I congratulate him on an interesting, happy and productive life.

Dear Carole and Family,
We were so very sorry to learn of Doug's passing. I met Doug when I first moved to the neighborhood. He was so kind and welcoming to our family. I always enjoyed visiting with him as he walked by our place to collect the mail. We had many great chats over the years and I appreciated his humour and storytelling. He will be missed by all of us.
Deepest sympathies from the Krynowsky's (Kevin, Amber, Cayely, Sienne and Halle)
My sincere sympathies to all of Doug’s family. I met Doug at JTRS in Nanton. I enjoyed vokunteering with him & his stories.
Dear Carole and kids,
I am so dreadfully sorry about your loss of your husband, father, grandad. He was my cousin who, as a young girl, had a crush on. How could a young girl not be enthralled with his good looks and bad boy attitude?
I always loved his laugh, his twinkling blue eyes, sense of morality, value of family and attitude towards life. He was so good and supportive of my Mom 'n Dad. I always loved his laugh! He could be such a skunk at times!
I'm so sorry we weren't able to get together for one last Goodwin reunion.
My love and condolences to all -
Kathleen
Condolences from one of Doug's Therapeutic riding students Kianna Thompson. She loved it when you teased her & talks about you every year when riding is about to start she says "Doug Be There". Doug you made a best friend with Kianna & your legacy with Journey's will live on for many years in that arena. Ride the wind my friend when you meet up with Cisco. Kianna & family
Deepest Condolences to Carole & the Goodwin Family. Journeys Therapeutic Riding Society in Nanton is grateful for all the time, energy & support Doug gave to the program from September 2010 through January 2018. Doug contributed so much to enrich the program; as a volunteer with the students, he also provided props, tack upgrades & helmet logo stickers, ensured the society had their own building on site, supported the board, made sure we were in the Nanton Parade with banners! After he retired he continued to keep in touch to check on various students and to ensure we were carrying on. I will especially miss Doug and I'm so glad to have spoken to him on his birthday in such good spirits.
Sincere sympathy to Doug's family. I admired the way he could tease the kids and always make them laugh at Therapeutic Riding. His sense of humor was infectious.
My sincerest condolences to my dear friend Carole and all the family. I know what a pillar Doug was in your family, he will be dearly missed. Besides being a successful business man and his many hours of volunteer work, what I remember most about Doug is his sense of humor. Anytime I saw him or he answered the phone when I called for Carole, he always had a funny story or a joke to tell me. I also had the privilege of volunteering along side Doug in Nanton and saw first hand what a gift he had with not only the horses but the kids. His generous spirit and sense of community was far reaching. Again I am so sorry for your loss.
