Condolences
The Best Aunt on the WHOLE Planet!
Her loving , caring demeanor , positive attitude , sense of humor will be missed by all who knew "Aunty Glenda"
Between her love and devotion to her four boy's , it was amazing she had extra to share with in the community.
She was a fixture in the Triwood Community...chief Medic , always there with a splint , band-aid , and a loving nuturing way
of calming down an injured child or patient.
The world has lost an amazing , beautiful ,talented woman who was a "SPARK PLUG" of life and joy to all who knew her..
I will always cherish my memories of the "Best Aunt"on the planet...
I will alway's love and miss you "Aunty Glenda"
In remembering a dear, inspirational person, i feel privileged to call Glenda my aunt. She was an amazing communicator to any and all ages, a gracious host and an engaged community member as well as a loving wife and mother. She captivated all who knew her. She was graced with an infectious laugh that tickled both the ear and the heart. I'll never forget those 'bright eyes'. May heaven rise up to meet you.
Well i thought it would add this poem that i came across so please enjoy:
"Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn's rain
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the sole star shining at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die.:
(Mary Elizabeth Frye, 1932.)
So very sorry Glenn, Thomas, Curt and the rest of the family on your Mom’s passing. In reading her Obituary you realize what an amazing life she lead, the many lives she touched and changed forever. The Cunningham family passes along our condolences to you and your families. Your Mom comforted me, my siblings and many kids from Triwood over the years at Foothills emergency as we arrived for stitches, or a cast from Hockey, Flag Football, Soccer and Lacrosse. When we would see her wonderful smile as we arrived, it always made you feel more comfortable and less anxious about being at the Hospital. Rest peaceful gentle soul!
An angel returning to heaven. Glenda Labelle was a wonderful, exuberant, glowing presence who was able to elicit smiles from all she touched. I remember many a comforting moment working with her when I was on staff at the Foothills Hospital back in the 90's. Sick patients or stressed staff, she'd whirl in and brighten the room. Rest in Peace, Glenda. Condolences to the whole family.
