Condolences
The Harris family were dear neighbours in Capitol Hill, Calgary, when I was a little girl in the sixties. To this day I remember the warmth, kindness and smile of "Mr Harris". I particularly recall how he made me feel special. He was joyful and tender hearted. My deepest condolences to his family.

Bernie, Glen Dalton and John Mitchell attended each Remembrance Day ceremony at Tecumseh as proud Navy men every year. It was wonderful to see them, standing straight as arrows for all those years. All of them are now deceased.

To The Harris Family. My Deepest Sympathy To You at the Passing of Bernie. I served with Bernie for many years at HMCS Tecumseh. He was very much a gentleman and a man of his word. He will be missed and remembered.

The passing of Bernie Harris says goodbye to a true gentleman. His good humour and smiling face bring back lovely memories when I shared celebrations with the Harris family. My condolences to all the family. I am glad to have known him.
Bernie was a long-time member of the Skrastins Outdoor Club and will be fondly remembered for his gracious manner and the warm way in which he welcomed new and continuing members. He shared with us his love of the Kananaskis country and surrounding mountains through active and regular participation in hiking and cross-country skiing activities, especially while he was in the role of Ski Coordinator. On hiking trails, Bernie often said that he felt safer walking backwards when going downhill, a very difficult skill in itself.
On behalf of all members, we offer our sincere condolences to his wife Barb and their family.

My sincerest condolences to you, Ian, and to Deirdre, on the loss of your dear father. I never met him but he is a part of the amazing walks I participate in weekly with the CBE REA and for that I am grateful to him. Your sadness today will soon turn into wonderful memories, one by one. Take care and hope to see you soon.
