Obituary of Heather Katherine Phillip
October 9, 1945 – Regina, Saskatchewan
February 24, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta
We are saddened to announce the loss of our mom, Heather Phillip (nee McNie). She passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the age of 78 years.
Heather enjoyed many hours in her beautiful garden, writing poetry, reading, and drinking her cup of Red Rose tea (always in a teacup). Her favourite trips were when she and Dick went on their river cruises, and their trips to Kalispell and Little Creek Cove.
Heather is survived by her three children, Carey (Lianne) Phillip, Kelly (Mary) Phillip, and Erica (Stephanne) Demers; and five grandchildren, Michaela, Maurice, Alyssa, Taylor, and Charlene; and two great-grandchildren, Kingston and Mia.
Heather was predeceased by her loving husband, Dick, to whom she married July 3, 1965. Heather was also predeceased by her parents, James McNie and Katherine McNie (nee De Gruchey); and her sisters, Francis and Phylis (Skip).
She will be greatly missed, and her memory will always be in our hearts. Love you Mom/Nan xoxo
