Obituary of William Aizanman
January 12, 1935 – Calgary, Alberta
March 5, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta
William Aizanman, affectionately known as Bill, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and selflessness. He was born on January 12, 1935, to Faiga (Fanny) Z”L and Leibl (Leo) Aizanman Z”L, and sisters Rose Z”L and Ruth. Bill was a devoted husband to Lynne Z”L for thirty years until her passing.
His greatest joy in life was his family, and he left behind three children: Sharon Freitag (Shane), Joyce Kerr (Jeff), and Darren Aizanman (Melissa). He was a cherished grandfather to Laura, Mitchell, Lindsay, Josh, Jacob, and Jessica. Bill welcomed their partners, Marlon and Isanne, with open arms.
Known for his selflessness, Bill's every action was dedicated to his family. He had a remarkable ability to connect with everyone around him, from his grandchildren's friends to the familiar faces at the front desk of The Trinity. To Bill, everyone was on a first-name basis, a testament to his genuine and caring nature; to all of them, he was Zaida Billy.
In remembering William Aizanman, we celebrate a life lived with love, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to family. He will be deeply missed by all.
Services were held at Erlton Jewish Cemetery (Corner of 30 Ave SW and Erlton Street SW, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
We ask those who wish to give gifts in his memory, to do so to the charity of your choice, as he would have wanted.
We’d also like to give a special thank you to the people at The Trinity, as well as at Rockyview (Unit 93).
Arrangements in care of the CHEVRA KADISHA OF CALGARY, Telephone: 403-244-4717.
