Obituary of Robert Arthur Meadows

Bob Meadows peacefully passed away with his sweetheart Rose, wife of 54 years and daughter Kelly by his side.

Born to Genevieve and Robert Meadows Sr., on March 28, 1946, in Calgary, AB, he was a lifelong resident of the city. Always taking advantage of the location being so close to the mountains, Bob loved to ski and hike. He also loved the big, open prairies to hunt pheasants, and explore the small towns, and was forever captivated by the grain elevators that dotted the horizon.

Bob was an avid reader, talented artist, spectacular cook, and entertainer, always quick with a joke or two. But he was his happiest, when spending time out at the lake, surrounded by his family.

Survived by his wife Rose, daughter Kelly (Tony), his two granddaughters, Emily and Grace; whom he was so very proud of and his brother Grant (Carol). Bob was predeceased by his dad Robert, mother Genevieve, and stepmother Mary.

A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.

Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Robert’s service streamed live (see link below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted.
