Obituary of Christina Edvigia Lisella

October 17, 1939 – Sepino, Campobasso, Italy

March 13, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Christina Lisella, beloved wife of Domenico Lisella, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the age of 84 years.

Christina was born in Sepino, Campobasso, Italy, and immigrated to Canada in 1953 at the age of fourteen. She grew up in Calgary and married Domenico, the love of her life, in 1959.

She lived a fulfilling life, working in different restaurants and dedicating several years of service to the Calgary General Hospital. Her greatest joys were raising her family, providing support to family and friends during difficult times, meeting people on their many trips, and volunteering with the Catholic Women’s League.

She leaves behind her husband Domenico, daughter Rita (Luigi Audia), son Joseph, granddaughter Carmen, and many other relatives in Calgary, the US, and Italy.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the City of Calgary paramedics and firefighters for their assistance and support during Christina’s medical emergency, as well as the wellness team and staff at Vecova for bringing her much joy and happiness this past year.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street & Northmount Drive N.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street & Northmount Drive N.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queens Park Cemetery.
