Condolences
We are sending sincere condolences to Brent and family following the loss of precious Lesley. We are neighbors two doors north and enjoyed "street" talks at the mailbox to catch up. We will continue our flower garden and think of her often. We had a special time with Brent and Lesley just before this past Christmas, Lesley...you will be truly missed.
I have so many fond memories of my time in the neighborhood with the Thompsons. Although I'm now an adult, I still can't say Lesley...it will always be Mrs. Thompson for me. I remember cold nights skating on the ice in the park behind our houses and then having warm hot chocolate that Mrs. Thompson had made for us. And some puppet shows in the Thompson's backyard when Mrs. Thompson graciously allowed us to invite many in the neighborhood (whoever we could get to come and watch). And of course the lunch hours on Fridays in grade 2 and 3 when I'd go over to the Thompson's for lunch. Mrs. Thompson would make lunch for Mark and I. Peanut butter sandwiches were always the best...the fried slices of eggplant, not so much. I remember Mark and I trying to figure out how to hide the eggplant under the kitchen table!
Susan, Mark and Mr. Thompson, I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. Love Carol
We have very fond memories of ballroom dancing with Brent and Lesley at the Haddon Road Legion. We all enjoyed the live music. Also, our Old Spokes cycling club memories linger and remain as precious times of companionship.
Our fondest memories of Lesley are of time spent with her and Brent hiking the trails around Windemere, cross-country skiing in Kananaskis and biking around Calgary.
We were able to see the Tall Ships in Victoria with them and hiked the coast trail near Sooke, BC.
We took Ball Room dancing lessons together and "Tripped the Light Fantastik" together.
Family get-togethers were always a delight as Lesley was the perfect hostess.
Over the years we have had too many memories to recall, but it will be fun to try to remember.
Lesley was the best sister a guy could ever have. She will be dearly missed.
Pat Linda
