Condolences
What an absolute beautiful tribute of your Mom.... Portage was lucky to have her in the community. I was lucky to have known her. She is reunited with your Dad, and your #1 angel. Love to you both, Rita Gaye and Louise (and Nathan)
So sorry to hear. Always enjoyed talking to her at the curling rink. Thinking of you!
I was hired by Bud Rheaume, & met Evelyn when they had me, & another teacher new to the school over for dinner. Their hospitality was wonderful! I got to know Evelyn more through curling, & social gatherings of the French teachers in the Portage school division. She was so warm, and friendly, it was a gift to know her. My condolences to all the family & friends who were lucky enough to share in her life.
So sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. What an amazing community member she was. I had the privilege of knowing her with La Reine Ladies curling club and other community committees, she loved to decorate. She was a special lady.
So sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. She was a wonderful neighbour and friend.
Evelyn was such a nice lady to curl against, quiet yet encouraging. My condolences to her family.
Sincere condolences on the passing of your Mom. She taught me when I attended P.C.I and later I worked with her at Crescentview. She was such a kind person.

I am so grateful to have grown up spending time with Aunt Evie when we visited Portage or she and Uncle Bud came to Flin Flon. She was such a sweet, gentle auntie, who put up with all of our rowdy family whenever we landed at their house. We loved her. I know that Uncle Bud, my mom, and my dad are with her now....likely at a curling rink in the sky. And Aunt Evie probably brought along some 'dainties' to share with everyone, as she did the last time I was lucky enough to see her. I am so blessed that she was my aunt, and I will miss hearing about her and seeing pictures that Rita and Louise post. But I know she is in Uncle Bud's arms now, and in the arms of her sisters and family who left before her. She is resting peacefully, and smiling.
I served on the Terry Fox committee with Evelyn for many years and was always so impressed with her energy and commitment to the cause. Sending hugs and prayers your way.
Evelyn was a very important part of the Portage Ladies Golf Club for many years, serving on the executive and committees. Please accept our condolences.
My sincere condolences on the loss of your Mom. She was a kind and fun loving person. Heather Bruce
