Obituary of Ernalynn Denise Hunter

It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, friend, and cousin, Ernalynn, was called home to our Creator on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the age of 35 years.

Ernalynn was born in Calgary, on January 28, 1989, to the late Melvin Bull and Audrey Hunter.

Erna enjoyed being a mother to her four children. She was full of life and laughter. She could brighten up a room with her jokes and humour. She loved listening to music and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed dancing in Powwow as she was a fancy dancer in her younger life. She attended Morley Community School and completed her grade 10 education. Her hobbies included drawing and creating poems.

She leaves to mourn her mother Audrey Hunter, her loving children, Meltia, Thunder, Skyra, and River; her siblings, Josette (Clifford), Augustine (Bobby), Cyrus (Florida), and Marcus; her nieces and nephews, Kasadi (Sam) Leera, Jodence, Faith, Spring, Kendall, Alex, and Keenou; her grandson Elias Crowchild, her maternal uncle and aunties, Virginia, Jean (Joe), Vicki, Lois, and Adrian (Shenisha); her paternal aunties and uncles, Beatrice, Arlene, Denise, Gordon, and Edwin Bull. She is also survived by numerous cousins and extended family in the Paul First Nations and Stoney Nakoda Nation. We apologize if we have missed anyone.

Erna was predeceased by her grandparents, Moses and Ida Bull, and Matthew and Elizabeth Hunter; she is also predeceased by Melvin Bull, Fergus Hunter, Vera Abraham-Hunter, Ferlin Hunter, Elizabeth Jr. Shawn Hunter, Abilene Hunter, Mavis Hunter, Donald Hunter, Chase Crawler, Darrel Hunter, Trevor, Oliver, Malcolm, Lorna, Veronica, Violet, Roy, and Laurie Hunter, Perry, Emily, Randy, and Trent Hunter.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of Audrey Hunter (Mînî Thnî, AB) on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Morley United Church (Mînî Thnî, AB) on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Goodstoney Cemetery (Mînî Thnî, AB).
