Obituary of Barbara Joan McMorland

Barbara McMorland, beloved wife of the late Donald McMorland, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the age of 92 years.

Barbara was born in Winnipeg, MB, on February 3, 1932. Her nursing career included hospital positions in Portage la Prairie, MB, Flin Flon, MB and Estavan, SK, before settling in Calgary.

Barbara is survived by her two sons, Gordon (Sandra) and Todd (Sharlene); son-in-law Ray Low, five grandchildren, Josh McMorland, Geoff McMorland, Chelsea Moriarity (Brad), Jordan Low (Heather), and AJ Low; and three great-grandchildren, Hunter Moriarity, Finley Moriarity, and Paisley Low.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband Donald, and daughters, Janice and Jean.

As per Barbara’s wishes a private service will be held.
