Condolences
Gloria, we just heard about Garry's passing. Al and I were just talking about getting together with the two of you soon. We are both shocked and saddened at the news. Garry was truly one of the finest people that we have met. We will miss his humor and knowledge of cars and just about everything else. I know that you were everything to him and he wanted the best for you always. He will be watching over you now.
Love Always,
Al & Gloria

Hello Gloria; This is Brian Moukperian, former Dean, School of Transportation at SAIT. Please accept my sincere condolences over the passing of Garry. I have fond memories of Garry as a committed instructor, which I will hold dearly. May God Bless you during this difficult time.

Hello Gloria, it’s Cameron Cox, you will recall that I taught alongside Garry for a number of years in the early 2000’s until he retired from SAIT. I don’t think for a minute that I can tell you anything you don’t already know about Garry but maybe I will just remind you of a few of his finer points. A list of attributes would undoubtedly go on forever starting with the undisputed fact that Garry was a gentleman and all that went with that, he was a real class act. He cared more about others than he did himself, he always asked all the right questions and was good friend to all. He was always professional in his job and could not be phased by anything that would happen in any classroom. He was the best at scheduling and planning, he was not a spur of the moment guy but could be if things came up and an opportunity knocked, he made sure to find a way and fit it in to the benefit of his students. He took the best care of his cars; I don’t know if one was ever dirty two days in a row. He was the greatest at coffee time and even though we spent so much time together in the classroom we never tired of spending more time together over a hot coffee, this included before class, at the morning and afternoon breaks, lunch time and one to finish up the day when classes ended. And most importantly Gloria, he loved you and your life together. He looked forward to every trip you took and every day you spent in the Okanogan. He made everything better and while I will miss him tremendously as both a dear friend and mentor, I feel so lucky to have known him and going forward being able to fondly reminisce of our time together at SAIT.
Please know that we are thinking of you in this time of great loss, accept our condolences and thank you for sharing Garry with us.
Anna and Cam
