Obituary of Sherry Angeline Powderface

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, auntie, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, mother-in-law, niece, and friend.
Sherry was born September 6, 1955, she was the eldest daughter of the late Eunice Stella Rider and the late Howard Ear.
She lived her life to the fullest, family was very important to her. She was a proud grandmother and especially enjoyed the company of her grandchildren whom she raised. She enjoyed colouring, puzzles, beading, making dry meat, and going berry picking with late husband John Hunter Sr. She grew up with a strong belief in her traditional, cultural, and Christian beliefs. She was raised by the late Florence Twoyoungmen and had a kind, gentle heart. She received her education at the Morley School.
Sherry leaves behind her loving daughter Glenna (Leroy), brothers, Murphy (Laura) and Alvin Young; sisters, Loriann and Bernadine (Wyatt); aunt Gwenth Rider, her grandchildren, Rosetta, Leland, Jaycee, Marchie, and Kennethy Powderface; and adopted children, Jubileen (Keith), Rosie, Jenny (Reggie), Jolie, Lisa, Rachel (Cedric) Powderface, Chief Arron Ryan, Trudy Young, Frank (Tracy) Powderface Jr., and Jubol (Georgina) Twoyoungmen.
Sherry was predeceased by her mother Eunice Rider, father Howard Ear, brothers, Herbert, Sydney, and Peter Powderface; adopted mother whom she was raised by, Florence Twoyoungmen, sisters, Ralphine and Karen Powderface; adopted sister Virginia Twoyoungmen, adopted brothers, Russel and Harvey Twoyoungmen; grandkids, Herbert, Killian, Erica, and Trandina Powderface; uncle Frank Sr. (Caroline) Powderface, aunties, Rite Rider, May Bigcrow, and Lavina Brown; cousins, Gerald (Velma), Clifford, Charles, Willard, and Norma Powderface; as well as numerous extended family.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of the late Eunice Stella Rider (Mînî Thnî, AB) on Sunday, March 31, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at the Morley United Church (Mînî Thnî, AB) on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Chiniki Cemetery (Mînî Thnî, AB).
