Obituary of Gerald Lee Bennett

It is with great sadness that we announce Gerald Lee Bennett, of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the age of 86 years.
Gerald was born in Lethbridge, AB, on April 8, 1937. He moved to Edmonton, AB, while working for Canada Safeway. It was in Edmonton where he met Rose, whom he married in 1975.
They retired in the village of Bondiss, AB, in 2003, on a beautiful acreage enjoying fishing, gardening, and quadding. He also greatly enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
Gerald loved his sports; hockey was always number one, followed by curling and baseball. He was especially proud of his sons and their achievements during their hockey journeys.
Gerald is survived by his daughter Lynda (Mike) of Toronto, ON, son Wayne (Kristy) of Calgary, AB, daughter-in-law Lana of Edmonton, AB, and his four grandchildren, Shailyn, Meggan, Spencer, and Abigail. Gerald is also survived by his sister Barb (Don) Keller.
A Celebration of Gerald’s Life will be held at Beaumaris Village Amenity Centre (10664 - 153 Ave. NW, Edmonton, AB) on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 11:30 a.m.
