Francisco Panera, beloved husband of Marleen Panera, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the age of 87.

He was born in Leon, Spain on January 29, 1937. He worked hard his entire life with a successful career in the oil and gas industry, and he did not retire until the age of 78. Francisco had a love for spending time with his family, including his wife, daughters, and grandsons. He enjoyed gardening, watching wrestling, and playing catch.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Marleen Panera, daughters, Elizabeth Panera-Cheeseman (Stephen Douglas Cheeseman) and Jacqueline Panera (Jeffery Frederick Perrin); as well as his four grandsons, Kingston Perrin, Colton Cheeseman, Winston Perrin, and Christian Cheeseman.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (Jubilee Room, 8944 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the parish hall. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
