Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Anderson

Mary Anderson of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the age of 86 years.

Mary was born in Hamilton, ON, on January 5, 1938, the spirited daughter of Elizabeth and George Crawford, and twin sister to Margaret.

Mary had a passion for nature and animals. Much of her early life was spent outdoors in Ontario, camping with her family. Mary and her young family moved to St. Albert in 1970 and she lived there for over thirty years. Later in life, Mary moved to Gibsons, BC, to be surrounded by the nature she so loved. Wanting to be closer to family, she returned to St. Albert at the age of 80.

Mary is survived by her three sons and three daughters-in-law, David and Jennifer (Grossman) of Calgary, AB, Darren and Lynn (Casson) of Kimberley, BC, and Bradley and Hayley (Bishop) of New Milton, UK. Mary was the proud grandmother of Zachary, Lauryn, Connor, and Erin.

Mary is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephew of her twin sister Margaret Ellis (nee Crawford), Cindy Cenerini (nee Ellis), Mark Ellis, and Sharon Canada (nee Ellis).

Mary was predeceased by her husband Donald Anderson, parents George and Elizabeth, and twin sister Margaret.
