Condolences
So very sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. The Seminchuk family was a great part of the “Ukrainian Family” in Calgary. She was a lovely lady. My condolences to Lou and family.
Sincerely,
JoAnn(Eremko) Shannon
So glad we visited last summer; our condolences to our Calgary family.
Joan and my mother, her cousin, were good friends in Winnipeg way back when.
Have a few memories or visit for Easter, typical Ab storm cancelled our Rocky trip. Lots of family laughs.
Dear Joan has been a life long friend of happiness and laughter even when times have been sad for both of us. Since meeting in the early 70's at GP Vanier, we have remained friends and shared all our family's happiness and sad times together. Eating at Joan's table was an experience of good food, laughter and love that Lou and Joan were masters of.
We worked together and had so much fun, we should have paid the CBE for the job. We didn't get a lot of pay but the staff at GP Vanier would know no greater place of happiness and Joan was in there making it all happen. I am blessed to meet students all the time who remember G.P .Vanier as a special place and Joan was a special happy and loving person to make that happen. She was one person who made every day on earth mean something special. I will miss her dearly. ruth
I’m so sorry for the loss of your wife, mom, Baba, Joan.
I don't remember a time, that The Sikora's, Joan, were not a part of my life. From helping me achieve my Baking Badge for Brownies, to the gift of her time, she extended to me, over the entire year that my dad was battling cancer, and the daily calls to my mom, after he passed. Joan helped ease my pain, and that of my mom's, by extending us such grace.
Joan always led with a loving heart, a contagious energy for life, and a mischievous, playful sense of humour.
I will continue to keep each of you in my prayers, and hold dearly the influence and impact Joan made in my own life. Thank you for sharing her with me. I love your her and I will miss her.
Condolences to the whole Sikora family. Mrs. Sikora was one of the nicest and gentlest moms on the block.
It is with sadness and a heavy heart that I convey my prayers and deepest sympathy to Lou and family. I have many fond memories of Joan working together on many activities at St. Luke's Church. I am unable to attend the funeral but know that I will be praying for all of you. God bless, Betty LaPointe.
On behalf of the Franks Family, please accept our heartfelt condolences on Joan's passing. She was always so kind and friendly to us when we would see her and Lou at St.Luke's Church. Her vitality and outgoing personality would put a big smile on our Dad's face, especially in his final years. Our thoughts are with all of you. Sincerely, Terri, Alan and Brian Franks
Wishing your family, peace, comfort, courage, and lots of love at this time of sorrow.
