Obituary of Roberta Aileen Rector

October 17, 1943 – Whitehorse, Yukon

April 12, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Roberta “Bobbi” Rector, beloved wife of the late Roger Rector, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at the age of 80 years.

Bobbi was born in Whitehorse, YK, on October 17, 1943. She attended the University of Alberta, where she graduated with a degree in Teaching. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving mother to her three children, adored her six grandchildren, and cherished every moment she spent with them. She was an active wife and homemaker, taking pride in raising her family.  Bobbi was also a role model for her nieces and nephews in her extended family. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bridge.
 

Bobbi is survived by her son Kevin Rector, daughters, Theresa Rector, and Lori Beaulieu; grandchildren, Amanda Butler, Jordan Beaulieu, Josh Rector, Zach Rector, Thomas Beaulieu, and Ethan Rector. She is also survived by her brothers, Grant, and Mac LeDrew; sister Maureen Brooker, and will be lovingly remembered by her extended family and dear friends.

Bobbi was predeceased by her husband Roger Rector, mother Aileen LeDrew, and father George LeDrew.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. An Inurnment will be held at Queen’s Park Mausoleum (3219 - 4th Street NW, Calgary, AB) at 1:30 p.m.

Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Bobbi’s service streamed live (see link below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted.
