Condolences
We are saddened by reading Aggie's obituary. Our condolences go to the entire Dewit family.
She was a spunky lady and full,of fun, always willing to help.
We go back a long way from the early Dutch Canadian Club days in the late 70's and early 80's.
With the help of the Dewit family and many others we managed to build the Port of Holland, opened in 1982 by President Nick!
Many years ago Nick told me about their arrival in Canada by boat - upon docking the luggage was brought out onto the pier in alphabetical order. Eagerly they waited, but all the "W' luggage was gone! Until they noticed some luggage at the other end of the pier.. there it was - under "D"! Welcome to Canada!
The family can look back and thank their parents for following their dream - and what a great example they were of settling down and become respected and successful pioneers! Well done and a life well lived!
Sincerely, Glenna and Peter Vanderlinden.
Hello from John and Sharon Vandenbeld in Claresholm.
We are sorry to hear of your loss but we remember all the good times with the Dutch Canadian Choir and particularly the annual fishing derby. Yes, Aggie and Sharon broke the picnic table one year. Dancing. She loved to have a good time. We will cherish the good times and memories.
Dearest Dewit Family
With heavy hearts and deepest sympathy we send our condolences. Our prayers are for Aggie and for your whole family. God Bless
Antonietta Bogdanich and Gimenez family
Our condolences to the family in Canada. Tante Aggie ( oma Canada) will always be remembered of her great love for the family, not only her own family but also the family in Holland. Together with her husband Nic they came to Canada with nothing more than their clothes and the presents of their wedding. They build up a wonderful life and a great family.
Thank you Oma, for your great hospitality and especially for your warm love for all of us!
Tom, Gerda, Lucinda, Jan-Geert, Niels and Stephany
