Verna Pauline Johnson, beloved mother of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the age of 77 years.

Pauline was born in Calgary, AB, on May 30, 1946. She accomplished much throughout her life and was particularly proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Pauline loved watching Jeopardy every night and was quite good at it. She enjoyed animal documentaries, hanging with her grandkids, and having a chocolate-dipped ice cream every Sunday.

Pauline’s favourite sayings were, “Awesome”, “Wow”, and “No kidding” and her earrings always matched her outfits. She will be most remembered for her sense of humour and contagious laugh.
 

Pauline is survived by her two daughters, Tiffyne Lemaire (nee Fancy and Adri Braun (nee Nicolson) residing in Calgary, AB; two sons, James Fancy residing in Calgary, AB and Gavin Nicolson residing in Rocky Mountain House, AB; and her son-in-law Doug Lemaire residing in Calgary, AB.

She is fondly remembered by her granddaughters, Chantel Lemaire residing in Calgary, AB, Heather Lemaire residing in Calgary, AB and Kayla Copley residing in Sylvan Lake, AB; grandsons, Clayton Lemaire residing in Calgary, AB, Jordan Fancy residing in Calgary, AB, Jared Copley residing in Edmonton, AB, and Cole Braun residing in Grande Prairie, AB; great-grandsons, Decimus Thatcher residing in Sylvan Lake, AB, Carter Fancy residing in Calgary, AB; and her great-granddaughter Ava Fancy residing in Calgary, AB.

Pauline is also survived by her brother Rick Appleton of Penticton, BC, and sisters, Judith Harris of Las Vegas City, USA, Kathy Hobbins (nee Reid) residing in Prince George, BC; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends Paula and Joe Giammarino, and Sandy Hennigar Doonan.
