David McCarthy of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the age of 61 years. David will be lovingly remembered as a remarkable father, papa, son, brother, and uncle. He loved his family dearly and was dearly loved. He brought joy and laughter to every family occasion.

David is survived by his two daughters, Kayla (Matthew) of Edmonton, AB, and Melissa (Braden) of Trochu, AB; three grandchildren, Kiera and Lucas, of Edmonton, AB, and Amelia of Trochu, AB; his mother, Gene McCarthy; his sister, Erin (Steve) Hruska and their children, Torey (Greg) and Kaden; and his brother, Shawn (Kelly), all of Calgary, AB. David was predeceased by his father, Patrick McCarthy, in 2014.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne of the Prairies Catholic Church (431 St Annes Ave, Trochu, AB) on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow.
