Condolences
Jennifer was an amazing woman with so many talents - the artist, the teacher, the historian etc... She was a good friend for 40 plus years and faced her battle with ALS with such dignity and grace and never lost her sense of humor! Sincere condolences to Martin who shared her journey with care and love - as well as to all of Jen's family and friends who will miss her always.
We are very sad to hear of Jennifer’s passing. I have known Jennifer for more than 50 years. We met at The University of Calgary. Since then we have met either in Canada or England. On one visit we took a narrow boat holiday on the Llangollen canal, passing over the famous Pontcysyllte Aquaduct. We treasurer all the memories.
Our most sincere condolences to Martin and families of Jennifer. Peter has known Jennifer for 50 years through his cousin Pat when they all came from England to Calgary. I met Jen through Peter in 1988 and we have been friends of Jennifer & Martin ever since. We will certainly miss all our special times together in Canada and Arizona. We will always cherish a couple water colour paintings that Jennifer gave to us as well as the many other things we have received from them as we look around our home. Martin, you will miss your awesome soulmate and we will miss her smile and bubbly personality.
I was fortunate enough to bump into Jennifer outside an hotel in Buenos Aires while waiting for transport to take us to our cruise ship to visit The Falklands and Chile.
Our husbands soon met and we had some some good fun on he cruise.
We spent many holidays in Arizona on a dude ranch. When were there in their Winter we met up with Jennifer and Martin and again had some good times and laughs together. On one trip we spent some time at the Sea of Cortes where we had some wonderful whale sighting. In fact one breached just in front of our boat and soaked us but Martin managed to take a
wonderful photo.
We were fortunate enough to be in Vancouver two years ago. Martin and Jennifer drove over from Calgary to spend some wonderful days with us.
I can't believe how lucky I was to chat to Jennifer on the phone only two weeks ago and found her as cheerful as usual.
David and I send our best wishes to Martin and Know how much he will miss Jennifer

Hello Martin,
Sending my sincere condolences to you and family.
1966 was when I met Jen returning to Brisbane from Auckland and we have kept in touch since. I searched for photos to include - Jen sleeping under a mosquito net and another wearing an Aussie swag hat with dangling corks to deter flies; but could not located them. Such memories will remain including occasional meetings on special occasions in Australia, Canada and Britain.
Jen a dear friend sadly missed.

To Martin & families, my deepest condolences on the passing of our sweet Jennifer, a wonderful friend, fellow artist and traveller of many years. We shall miss her in weekly painting classes where we came to admire her stamina and perseverence in the face of such cruel illness. She was a wonderful artist, something that carried her through her challenges and provided some joy. To Martin, we all admired your dedication to Jennifer, may you be blessed in your journey forward. My thoughts are with you!
Sincerely,
Karin Richter

She had been an active and contributing member of our organization for many years. In particular, Jennifer will be remembered by our Lakeview golfers as a warm and empathetic golf partner who was prepared to introduce some new and fun ideas into our league play, but sadly was unable to finish her project due to her advancing illness. She will be sadly missed by all her knew her.

My sincere condolences to Martin on Jennifer's passing. I first met Jennifer back in the 1970's as a member of the Calgary Ski Club. There were many hiking and cross-country skiing trips. I especially remember the time at the hostel in Bragg Creek which if I remember correctly was a New Year's ski trip. In recent years, there were many hiking trips and/or walks in the city and out of town with the Calgary Weekend hikers and also Jennifer and Martin's association with the Chinook Historical Society. I will surely miss not seeing Jennifer on the hiking trails and the Rocky Mountains that I know she so dearly loved.

SAIT's ALIVE (The Association of Retired and Former employees of SAIT and their spouses) extend their deepest sympathy in the passing of Jennifer.
Our condolences to Jennifer’s family on behalf of the CBEREA. Jennifer was an active member of our book club for many years. We are glad to have contributed to her love of reading. We have missed her at our monthly meetings but she was always there in spirit. We know she will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Randy and I had the opportunity to meet Jennifer and Martin at Mesa Regal Resort in Mesa, Az. Jennifer shared freely opportunities of how to make the best of being away from home as Snowbirds. I am sure in Jennifer's after life, Jennifer will continue to share and welcome all.
Our sincere condolences Martin on Jennifer's passing. I met Jennifer while working with her at SAIT. Jennifer had a zest for life, adventure and social activities. We enjoyed our get togethers whether in Calgary or Arizona, where we found that we had mutual friends in Cliff and Audrey White.

Garth and I wish to send our deepest condolences. You have truly lost a great “soul mate” Martin.
We met Jennifer and Martin while spending winters in Mesa Arizona in Mesa Regal. I worked with Jennifer on the Canada Day committee. We both worked with Martin with the “fruit pickers” in the park . I also golfed in the same league as Martin . You were very blessed Martin to have had a great partner with whom you shared travels and made many memories . Garth and Olga Johnson
Our sympathy to you Martin on this sad loss. It was a treasure to have met you both in Mesa AZ and formed a friendship through golf and happy hours. Her dedication to organizing annual Canada Day celebrations in mesa was well appreciated and fun to attend. I also recall her artistic skill in all her paintings. She had lots of interests. We pray for peace and comfort in The days ahead. As it will be hard. You truly met your soulmate as you shared so much in common in life, family, interests and travels. We are thinking of you all as you send Jennifer to her heavenly home.
My husband Andy and I have been friends of Jennifer and Martin for over twenty years--and my association with dear Jen goes back even further, to a time before she met Martin. We taught together for the Foothills School Division, she in Social Studies and Business Ed and I in English and French. Our friendship was a deep and sincere one, because we shared so much in common. Jenny's quest for knowledge of the world, and her enthusiasm when discussing her travels, was contagious. Andy and I, too, have loved to travel and to compare stories with Jenny and Martin. The four of us were theatregoers and relished taking in plays together. We will miss Jen a great deal. Martin, you know how deeply we feel for you in your loss. May you take comfort in knowing Jen's suffering is over and the disease that took her did not conquer her spirit. Sincerest condolences to you and all the family from both of us.
