Obituary of Therese Ross

November 4, 1930 – Summerside, Prince Edward Island

April 19, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Our beloved Therese passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024. She will be lovingly missed by her devoted husband Larry of nearly 70 years; their children, Ian (Lucie), Liane (Kevin), and Colin (Cindy); four grandchildren, Samantha, Thomas, Rory, and Alexa; as well as extended family, Jason, Jonathan, and Elliott; and many nieces and nephews. Therese was predeceased by her sister Lenora, and brothers, Jimmy and Arnold. 

Therese was born in Kinkora, PEI on November 4, 1930, to Urban and Mary Farmer. She remained a Maritimer at heart her entire life.

She will be most remembered for her loving kindness, exceptional cooking, impeccable manners, and desire to ensure everyone at the party was having a great time. She made lifelong friendships through the Calgary Newcomers and Newgrads Societies and with her golfing, bridge, and volunteer groups. Professionally, Therese cherished her colleagues and time spent working as an accountant at Eatons in Winnipeg, and Avon in Montreal. Therese and Larry were very fortunate to travel the world many times over. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church (1414 Shawnessy Blvd SW, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
