Surrounded by her family, Paty Swaita, beloved wife of George Swaita and mother of Isabella and Hannah, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the age of 49 years. Paty was born in Beirut, Lebanon, on December 7, 1974. She immigrated to Canada in 1988 at the young age of fourteen.

Paty dedicated her life to caring for her family and serving her community. Her unwavering love and devotion knew no bounds, touching the lives of everyone around her. Paty was actively involved in her home parishes, the Antiochian Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Calgary, AB, and St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, in Ottawa, ON, for many, many, years and helped with numerous events.

A nurturing soul, Paty was the pillar of our family, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her wisdom, warmth, and gentle spirit will be profoundly missed but will forever live on in our hearts. She was a beacon of love, strength, and kindness to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Besides her devoted husband, Paty is survived by her loving daughters, Isabella and Hannah; her parents, Nazem and Souad Hadi; her brothers, Peter (Rawane) and Paul Hadi; as well as her nephews, Jakob and Noah Hadi; and many loving relatives and friends who cherished her deeply.
