Condolences
I am deeply saddened about the sudden lost of Tom Harper.
I met Tom a few years ago while embarking upon a classic car project for our local police veterans association.
Recognizing the value our project would bring to the community, Tom was immediately supportive to our cause, supplying at cost the new tires for the car while his exemplary staff performed the installation of four new tires.
Since this initial encounter, I have continually returned to Harper’s Tire for our automotive tire servicing.
They never disappoint!
As our friendship grew, I learned more about Tom while his “pros” at the shop worked their magic, always providing an incredible level of service delivery.
Tom’s business was a third generation family run business and one he has grown since taking the reins from his father.
His family and their history must be so proud of all he has accomplished in his life, including building and fostering relationships while continuing the successful family tradition of providing Calgarians with the highest quality of automotive service that they can depend upon when visiting Harper’s Tires.
My deepest condolences and prayers are with Tom’s family; his staff at Harper’s Tires and all his life-long friendships.
Sincerely,
Dale Flemming
I am saddened and heartbroken to learn of my friend Tom today. As long as I can remember Tom was our client at RBC 411 - 58th Ave S.E. Calgary. He would come in to our Business Services and both of us would always joke around yes and get into trouble. I called him Tattoo man because he always said he had a tattoo and he couldn't show me. Tom would always make me laugh lol ... I will miss his sense of humour. When I told Tom I was retiring he started to cry. That's the kind of passionate man he was.
My heart goes out to family and friends. Thinking of you at this time.
I'm sorry I missed the celebration of like as I just found out today of Toms passing.
I am a loss for words ......
I never really met Tom, he has always been in my life making me laugh. From Christopher Robin to Henry Wise Wood he was always there. Boy did we laugh alot, sometimes so much it got us in trouble. We played on every strip of grass in the neighbourhood and in all kinds of weather. We rode bikes all over as well. One time while riding back to my house we came out of the alley and Tom popped a wheely. The tire fell off and rolled away. He was shocked at first but then realized what he had to do. Keep going!!! He made it across 73rd Ave and accepted his fate. With that grin of his and the look of "Oh well, here goes nothing" he set his forks down into the pavement.
Our deepest condolences go out the the Harper clan as Tommy will be sorely missed by all. We will continue on accepting his fait, and will find smiles and humor as he would want us to do. Love to you all Nori, Lisa, Joey, and Anthony.
Tom always took the time to share a smile and brighten your day, we shared lots of laughs over the years. It is with a very heavy heart that I write this to say goodbye to a good friend.

It broke my heart when I heard about the passing of Tom. He was an amazing person who treated and loved everyone equally. I had the pleasure of working for him for 16 years and seeing his smile almost every morning when walking into work made my day that much better. His sense of humor never got old. We talked sports all the time as that was his passion and even went to a couple flames games together. My deepest condolences go out to his family Angie and Riley, Dan, Michael

Sending condolences from the staff at Brunel Commercial Interiors. All of us who had a chance to know Tom will miss his friendly greeting and jovial nature through our many years of service at Harper's Tires.
Tom will be sorely missed by all.
Tom was a great uncle. Although the last few years we only saw each other at Christmas parties and family gatherings, due to me being out of the country, he was always genuinely interested in what I was up to and how my tennis was going. Tom loved watching sports and followed my university tennis matches on-line with my dad, cheering me on. I will always remember Tom’s kindness, sweetness and sense of humour. He was always making us laugh with his jokes, quick wit and his funny gifts. We will all miss him so much.

My sincere condolences to Angie and Riley and the Harper family. Tom will be missed by all who knew him. Hold your memories in your heart.
I was fortunate enough to have Tom as my best friend since we we were 3 years old and went to Christoper Robin pre school and the as we grew up together we were both still friends and anyone who had the opportunity to meet Tom was a fortunate person. His generosity, outgoing personality and quick whit and that impish grin put a smile on everyone else’s face when they were around Tom. He was a great friend, father, husband and friend of many people who are now missing him and his spirit and his love of life are sharing the grief that comes from the passing of such a loved person who was a true friend and loved by so many people around him.
Tom will be sadly missed but never forgotten or far from my heart and thoughts of the great times that we shared together in his life.
“Harp” you made my life better just by being there with you and sharing so many moments with me!
You will be sadly missed by me and everyone around you!
Goodbye to the best friend I could ever have ever had!
