Condolences
May 1, 2024.
We are so very sorry, to hear today, that your dear father has died. He and your Mother were cherished friends since we met in 1991 in Les Calgourmets. Our friendship grew over the years and they were both so supportive of me when my husband Colin died. I fondly remember our dinners together and the times that I spent on Vancouver Island with them. They celebrated with Alexander and I as we married. We could not ask for more devoted friends and we miss them dearly. We know how much they loved you all. Please accept our deepest sympathies at this most difficult time.
Lilian Jardine and Alexander
Bill, sadly we have to say goodbye. You are going to be missed by all. I will always cherish our time together….breakfasts, movies, dinners, a glass of wine, chit chats and phone calls. Now who is going to keep me up to date on the “Flames”. You never got me to watch a hockey game on TV. I guess I won out on that one. But Keep Trying! My deepest sympathy to your children Pam and Jim - who you always talked about. A year ago, we said goodbye - you said you knew us as your friends but could not remember us. That was okay because we will never forget you. Rest in peace till we meet again.
Pam and Jamie, your parents were such special people in my life, and that of all the Lavery’s. I saved my babysitting money and I am sure your parents contribution put me through 1st year university! Bill gave the toast to the bride at my wedding in 1980. I have always enjoyed seeing them on trips back to Calgary. May the many fine memories you have of both Bill and Carol sustain you at this time and moving forward. Love to you and your families, those I know and have yet to meet, Hilary Tanasichuk (nee: Lavery)
Pam and Brent...my sincere sympathy for the loss of your father. I was very fond of Bill and held huge respect for him as a former leader at Dome. May Bill rest in peace...
I first met Bill at the University of Alberta through my late husband Bud. He and Bud were classmates in Chemical Engineering. I introduced Carol to Bill when he and Bud were working at Chemcell upon graduation. It was an immediate attraction. They made a lovely and devoted couple. Bill, what a great guy, great friend! I extend sincere condolences to his family.

Our sincere condolences to Pam and Jamie and their families.
We have so many wonderful memories with the Marika family spanning almost 60 years beginning in Edmonton and carrying on here in Calgary. Bill was a wonderful friend sharing his many God given talents with everyone around him. Bill's life dramatically changed when he lost his good wife Carol but Bill gallantly carried on till his very end. He will be missed,
Bill and Carol were our neighbours for many years on Lake Linnet Close in Lake Bonavista. We became very good friends and we spent many parties in that cul de sac. Our children grew up together and we have many wonderful memories together. Bill was a wonderful father and did everything for his family. He will be missed by many. Our condolences to all the family.
John and Sharon Niedermaier and family!
