Condolences
I knew Gwyn well. I met her on the Balfour ferry on Kootenay lake on a warm sunny summer day. She was riding her beloved Suzuki GSXR (Gixxer) 600 and I on my Ducati ST4s. Our mutual love of motorcycling got us talking to one another. She was on her way to her favorite BC spot at Toad Rock BC, located along Highway 31a. (A beacon for any motorcycle tourer). She always talked about how she found solace there. Our encounter started a friendly relationship that lasted through many years. We rode many miles throughout the Pacific Northwest together. Talked motorcycles. Visited Aruba together. Skied many days together. Shared our parenting and divorce stories. Gave each other support. I visited her often at her home in Airdrie. I enjoyed wrenching on her bikes. We would take day trips to Canmore. Her hospitality and friendship was truly genuine. She was so joyful, comforting, inclusive, friendly and above all a true soul touching individual. She loved her family. Her tireless love for them gave her strength. She will be dearly missed. She will be in my prayers always. My prayers of support go out to her Son Daniel, whom she loved so dearly. Also, to her mother and sisters who she always spoke so fondly of. Rest in peace my Gixxer wing person. I will always look for you in my mirror… Dan
To Gwyn’s family, I only knew Gwyn a very brief time, However, It wasn’t long enough. Gwyn had such a captivating
way of becoming someone I’ll never forget.
Gwyn was so encouraging and promising as we were both going through treatment for the recovery of a stroke.
Thank God I met Gwyn and her immediate family and a couple of her close friends.
I saw an Angel, Gwyn was that Angel and now she watches over her family and friends knowing how much they all miss her. Always in our hearts !! Wendy D
I am so sad at this news. I met Gwyn at Riders Ranch a few yrs ago. I got up late in the day, hungover, and Gwyn insisted on taking me for breakfast. Never met this angel before, but, I followed her. She made the breakfast experience awesome, so many laughs. My one and only time with her, but, I will never forget it!
Our condolences and prayers for loving memories. Your family is in our hearts.
It was shocking and so very sad to hear of Gywn's passing. Working with her at CBSA was a delight. She tackled every project and challenge with her optimistic "no worries" attitude. The world seems a little grayer without that contagious smile in it. My deepest sympathy goes out to Gwyns family during this very difficult time.
I am so sorry for your great loss. My heart breaks for her family and especially for her son Daniel. Gwyn will always be special to me. She always brought the most joy, kindness, laughter, generosity I’ve ever had the chance to experience. I will miss you dearly my friend. I wish I knew.
Immensely saddened by this news...I worked several years at CBSA with Gwyn. Watched her race, had lots of beers and laughs with her. Gone too soon.

I had the pleasure of meeting Gwyn through work at CBSA. She was always such a kind and loving person. We had many conversations about her passion for riding, her face would light up so much talking about her love for bikes. I am so shocked to hear of her passing. My deepest sympathy to her loved ones and family.

I was so saddened to hear of Gwyn’s passing. Her incredible kindness will never be forgotten. Love and prayers to Gwynn’s family.
I had the privilege of working with Gwyn at CBSA Sunridge location, and in recent years at the Harry Hays building. Gwyn was an organizer; Public Service Week, Harry Hays Social Committee, Christmas Pot Luck and Sweater Contest, Chili Cook Off, Yoga Groups and Retirement parties. Outside of work, she spoke excitedly about her bike club and shared stories of her road trips. Gwyn was also a mother, sister, friend to many, and had a smile that lit up a room. The Calgary Stampede events will not be the same without you Gwyn. I will cherish the wonderful memories. Ride on Gwyn!
Gwyn worked with me at CBSA for many years. She was beautiful, kind and generous. Gwyn was so stylish, and always knew how to dress up any outfit with scarves, jewellery and accessories! She was adventurous, funny, caring and wonderful at planning events and work activities. May the family be surrounded by many warm memories and the love of Jesus in this difficult time. God bless ~ Debbie Cesonis

She was a very vibrant, kind and wonderful person. To say I am shocked is an understatement. She will be greatly missed.
I worked with Gwyn back in the early 90’s at YYC, she being customs and I on the immigration side. She was a decent, fair, insightful and intelligent person and she brought those qualities to the job. Always a pleasure to talk to. I am so sorry for your loss.
I just heard the news and I am in shock ..
It definitely makes you realize how we take life for granted and how precious it truly is.
Gwyn was my best friend growing up. We met in grade school in the 1970s. We spent many wonderful years together. My parents loved her dearly too. She was part of the family.
She had a great sense of humour and loved to tell jokes. She was a great pianist. She loved animals, especially horses,Dogs and cats.I thought she would become a veterinarian when she grew up. She also loved riding motorcycles fast and was very adventurous. Unfortunately, we grew apart when she moved to Alberta and Life went on.
Gwyn was the youngest of three children. My condolences to her two sisters Catherine and Lorinda and their families.
My deepest sympathy to Gwyn son Daniel.
She will always be remembered in my heart and deeply missed
Gwyn.
A powerful smile that captures all.
Gwyn asked me way back in 1996 when I was renting a house with a garage to store some motorbikes. Little did I realize that these motorbikes were crazy racebikes! My thought was: who was this woman?” Well I believe that Gwyn was a woman who embarked on life like the bikes she rode.
A strong beautiful soul with a smile that will never fade.
I worked with Gwyn and I even though I didn’t know her well I believe through the experiences friends have shared Gwyn was special.
Gwyn: thank you for sharing with me you.
Ride Girl Ride.
Rest in Peace
