Louise was a warmly supportive colleague in her time and work at the University of Saskatchewan and a friend after she left. She showed courage and equanimity in the face of challenges from higher admin when she was Dean of Grad Studies and Research. Though I did not get to see her in the last few years, I remember her fondly for her personal warmth to me and many other women, her intellectual curiosity, her love of poetry, theatre, and dogs. My heartfelt condolences to family.
