Dear Carol and Mary Beth,
So very sad to hear of the passing of Aunt Bernetta. Sending my sincere condolences to both of you and your families. I didn't see Aunt Bernetta often but remember her dearly, always kind and gentle.
A memory I have of Aunt Bernetta was when I was in Calgary visiting Aunt Olea in the hospital, your mom had us over for dinner. She had made a complete turkey dinner....I couldn't believe it, I thought turkey dinners were only for special occasions. She made us feel so welcome and was such a lovely hostess. I truly appreciated her hospitality. It was the first time I had ever seen each person at the table had their own salt and pepper shakers.
It is a beautiful picture of Aunt Bernetta.....a very classy lady.
