Obituary of Robert Boz Karulovic
September 22, 1958 – Calgary, Alberta
May 17, 2024 – Kelowna, British Columbia
Beloved brother, Bob Karulovic, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, in his hometown, Kelowna, BC, at the age of 65 years.
Bob was born on September 22, 1958, in Calgary, AB. He attended St. Francis High School and later graduated from Mount Royal College.
He dedicated thirty-two years of his life to working at City Hall for the City of Calgary. The majority of that time was in the Urban Development Department before retiring in 2013 and fulfilling his dream of moving to Kelowna in 2022.
In his free time, Bob enjoyed playing baseball, golf, hockey, and hunting. He was also an avid fisherman and had a love for cars, especially his cherished silver Corvette.
He also enjoyed travelling. Some of his most memorable vacations included his trip to New York City in 2014 and going on an annual fishing trip with the boys at Keith Lake in Northern Saskatchewan.
Bob will be most remembered for his smile and his kindness towards others. He always enjoyed meeting new people and made an impact on those he met; he had so many friends. He was a member of several organizations and volunteered his time to make a difference in his community, including coaching the Father Lacombe High School football team and a women’s slow-pitch team.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Marie and Val, and many other relatives in both Canada and Europe. He is survived by his brother Albert Karulovic, aunt Vicki Webster, and cousins, Ron (Hennie) Webster, and Debbie (Andy) Edmundson.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all of those who have shown their support during this difficult time.
Bob will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were lucky enough to know him.
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal."
