Condolences
In memory of Olwyn, our dear across-the-street neighbor, who alongside her husband Harold, made our street in Brentwood so lovely. Their genuine interest in our family, especially our children's struggles with literacy, touched our hearts deeply. We'll always remember Olwyn tending to her lovely flower beds, a testament to her care and dedication. Their annual Halloween treats for the kids and their willingness to listen and connect made them truly special neighbors. Though they are no longer with us, their kindness and warmth will be fondly remembered.
So very sad to lose our last maternal aunt.
I have many fond memories of Olwyn from a very young age. So many Davies family events. Family was a real priority to her, not just her immediate family, but to all of the extended family. Our family spent a great deal of time with the Parrs before they moved to Canada. She ensured she kept a close contact with us all and would always make a special effort to visit us when in England.
I will always remember her kindness, her wonderful smile and her infectious giggle. She was a gem and wil always be cherished.
We are so very sorry to hear of your mother’s/grandmother’s passing and send condolences and love to you all. She loved her family deeply and often shared stories regarding them with her golfing friends. Needless to say many of these stories were of her and Harold’s beloved grandson, Ethan, who was the light of their life.
We enjoyed many golfing rounds with Olwyn at Elbow Springs Golf Club where she was a well-liked and valued member of the Ladies Section, keeping us all playing within the rules of golf, or at least doing her best to. Olwyn will always be remembered and missed by those of us fortunate enough to be in her circle of golfing friends.
Our deepest sympathies on the passing of your beloved mother and grandmother. Olwyn was very proud of her family and often spoke of her grandson, Ethan. We have wonderful memories of golfing with Olwyn at Elbow Springs Golf Club. May the happy memories you made with her bring you comfort at this difficult time.
Olwyn was a beautiful lady,with a kind soul. She never forgot my birthday and undertook her role as my Godmother from afar. I was 5 when the Parr family emigrated and despite the distance she stayed in contact with our family "The Aindows". We met up at every chance when the Parrs returned to the UK. My mum and dad had an amazing holiday in Canada back in the 90's and Keith and I were fortunately able to spend some time with Harold, Olwyn and all the family in 2019. God bless Auntie Olwyn gone but never forgotten. Reunited with Harold and all those who have gone before her X X
To Steve and Diane and the Parr family - such a beautiful tribute to a remarkable lady ……. She was a true dynamo. How fortunate you were to have her good company for so many years. May her memory be a blessing. Hugs Dinah and Jim
Jane and Stephen;
Please accept our sincere condolences on the the loss of your mother. She was a wonderful person and we really did appreciate our friendship with her and your dad. Although we didn't get the chance to spend time with them in the last few years we will still always remember the fun times we did have. Your dad will always be one of my hero's and we will remember fondly the many golf games and dinners we had with them both. Thank you for the kindness of letting us know of your mums passing and please know your family will always have a special place in our hearts. Don and Sherri
Jane & Ethan:
I am saddened to hear of Olwyn's passing. Her struggle has passed and she is now reunited with her soulmate, Harold. They were two of the most gentle souls I have ever met. I was privileged to know them through their golf at Valley Ridge and then Elbow Springs over several decades. They loved life and we all loved them. Forever in my heart.
